Here at St Alkmund's we believe that every member should be in a small group. The second pillar of the church vision is that every member should be in a small group. We have many small groups meeting weekly in homes, on Tue/Wed/Thur, all areas of the city (and a bit beyond!) are covered. All ages are covered.
We aim for people to join a group in the area in which they live. The purpose of the small groups reflects the purpose of the church; to reach out to the unbeliever and to build up and encourage the believer.
Small groups are the hub of the community of St Alkmund's. To visit a group is to see the church in action: worship, ministry, welcome, outreach, fun.
If you like what you have seen in Church and want to see more, come along, no previous experience necessary (in fact probably an advantage!)
You can download some of leadership notes that we have already used here, so that you can have a copy for reference if anything particularly struck you one week, or for you to use with your own church.
