10 things which support Small Groups
- COMPASSION FOR THE HARVEST - there is compassion for the lost
- PRAYER - there is an understanding of the critical part prayer plays
- SMALL GROUP SYSTEM - actually facilitates the outworking of vision and values
- DIVISION OF LABOUR - we see the members of the body being equipped for the work of ministry/service (Eph 4)
- MOBILISING SPIRITUAL GIFTS - there is an understanding of spiritual gifts that mobilise the body
- LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT - time and effort (priority) is put into the identification and training of leaders
- SPIRITUAL DEVELOPMENT - there is a recognised method for discipling new Christians
- COMMUNITY - there is transparent Christian community forming that both nurtures the members as well as inviting in new members
- OBEDIENCE - being the church is more important than holding onto traditions
- MULTIPLICATION - everything needs to be reproduced so that multiplication of disciples, leaders and groups continues.
